Te fiti falls apart when her heart is stolen by the shaped-shifting demigod, Maui. A volcanic demon, the Ka is mon and he breaks maui's magic hook, the te fitis heart is lost in the ocean. Thousands of years later, the ocean choose motunuis chiefs daughter moana, to restore the heart of te fiti. Moana is 16 year old and ever since she has a toddler ocean has attracted her.she wants to go beyond the reef and explore but her parents keep her away from the ocean because of the legend of the Ka . Then disaster strikes.the coconuts on the island begins to rot and fisherman find there is considerable decrease in catch. Moana knows the answer to this problem lies beyond the reef.but when she tries to go beyond the reef she is thrown back by the waves her grandmother, tala, Elsa office secret ke which has harboured her ancestors ship. These are the ship her ancestors used before te fiti s heart was stolen and and te ka was born. Tala explains that the misfortune of the island are because of the darkness of te ka s heart and can be rectified if Moana finds Maui and makes him restore the heart of te fiti.
Shortly afterwards, tala falls ill and on her death bed, tells Moana that she must begin her journey.
That same night, moana sets sail . She is caught in a typhoon and shipwrecked on a Iceland where she finds Maui. She demands that Maui return the heart. However, he refuse.
Will they be able to restore the heart?
Will motunui and the ocean heal ?
Moana is both a name and the award in the south Pacific, it means version and is not a general name.
